This small space provides a sunny interior regardless of the weather outside. The bright décor gleams. Gold faux-painted walls are lined throughout with paintings and murals of Italian scenes. There is now a new area complete with a large bar for gathering for a drink or to dine. Several tables with family pictures under acrylic, and live entertainment add to the scene. Comfortable booths and tables in the front room lend the feel of an Italian trattoria. Or it might be Greece, as the menu features nice Greek selections as well. Homemade loaves of bread, hot from the oven, arrive with marinara sauce for dipping. Start with calamari, fried mozzarella with marinara or antipasti misti. The house salad that comes with your meal is full of goodies and served with excellent dressings or you may select the Caesar for an added charge. Pasta entrées include terrific ravioli stuffed with cheese and tasty red sauce or ravioli stuffed with asparagus and several cheeses, lasagna, fettuccine Alfredo, eggplant Parmesan, shrimp scampi and linguine with clams. Pasta with spicy Italian sausage is a favorite. Chicken and veal piccata are very popular, as are the Parmigiano and Marsala versions. The marinara is a very light complement to the flavors of each dish. Everyone is sure to find something that pleases. Pizza and calzone are fun options, as the flat crust pies are topped with a variety of choices and will please those wanting that pizza fix. Add cannoli, tiramisu, cheesecake, warm truffle cake and spumoni for a perfectly sweet finale. Lunch options shine, too, with excellent sandwiches and calzones in addition to the regular menu. Service is friendly, the wine list lovely and prices affordable. This neighborhood bistro is truly a great choice for Italian dining. Pasta with spicy Italian sausage is a favorite.
