Enter the 9th Avenue Grill and you find a typical neighborhood spot. A large bar area, seating throughout the main room and a separate dining area for parties or to accommodate the overflow set the scene. This place is all about the food. Chef/owner Zach Jones does a great job with a huge variety of choices to please all. Start with a slider trio, sausage sampler or delicious jalapeño corn fritters, crispy and slightly sweet with dipping sauce. The buffalo chile with cornbread, warm bacon salad, and green chile Caesar make great starters. Chicken pot pie is a terrific entrée as is the spaghetti squash and pesto pasta with spinach and tomato ragout. Lamb chops, steaks, duck breast and striped bass make decisions difficult. For lighter fare enjoy cheeseburgers, buffalo or grilled chicken burgers complete with bacon, mushrooms, grilled onions or jalapenos. End with great desserts: carrot cake with pecan caramel, pumpkin bread pudding, dark chocolate mousse, ‘smores, and sundaes. Wine, beer and drinks complement the food. For family fun, excellent food, and a casual night out, the 9th Avenue Grill is a very nice choice for a neighborhood treat. This is also a great choice for lunch.
