More fun comes to the great LoHi area with the new LOHI Steakhouse. The place is great as the folks from Larimer Square have done a fabulous renovation and design. Enter the bar area with great seating, a super focal bar with huge red shades over the area to accent the look. The dining area has fabulous lights hanging from the high ceilings with umber colored faux painted walls, comfortable booths and tables and every detail a hit.

Along with super décor, the food shines. Chef/Partner Sean Kelly has created a menu that pleases all, both with food and pricing. Start with marinated olives and rosemary almonds, blue cheese fondue, hummus, ricotta spinach dumplings, buffalo chicken wings and meatballs in red gravy. The onion soup is a must as is the Caesar salad, or indulge in black bean steak chili or potted salmon with toasts. The steaks are outstanding and priced so one can enjoy them often: flatiron, strip, ribeye or filet, all come with marvelous steak frites that are hand cut and so good, along with your choice of sauces: garlic-herb butter, béarnaise, blue cheese butter, or shallot sauce. House ground hamburgers offer the fried egg, chili and cheddar; onion bacon and blue; or mushroom Swiss and béarnaise. On the sandwich list, don’t miss the salmon blt, chicken club, and portobello mushroom burger. If you want a big plate choose roasted half chicken, mussels, salmon, and steak and eggs. The lunch and brunch menus are enticing and fun as well. End with the signature Sean dessert of the best chocolate pudding ever, a banana split, or cheese plate. The wine, cocktail, and beer list are excellent and priced well. With an awesome décor, super service, and most of all, fabulous food at affordable prices, LOHI Steakbar is a perfect neighborhood spot—no matter what your address.
