The television show Seinfeld recognized the importance of having a favorite Greek coffee shop, and Chef Zorba’s is Congress Park’s. For over 20 years, this restaurant has been welcoming everyone with its hearty breakfasts, lunches and dinners. The recent renovation brings a modern color and lighting scheme, while pictures of Greece, and the whitewashed dining-room divider complete with blue window shutters transports you straight to Athens. Greek, American and Mexican are the standard fare. On warm days, the front patio brings out many neighborhood regulars with their faithful canine friends. For breakfast, try gyros and eggs (two eggs, crispy hash browns and thinly sliced gyros meat). For lunch, a Greek salad—with feta cheese, olives, sliced tomatoes, onions and cucumbers tossed with iceberg lettuce and a light dressing—is a perfect choice.
