Abrusci’s is the latest Italian spot to join the Cherry Creek North dining scene. Located in the old Campo space, walk down the path and enter to a huge area with comfortable seating with a focal bar where one can meet for drinks or enjoy a meal. The dining area features big windows, nicely spaced tables set with white linen, and carpet to take away the din making conversation possible, a nice touch to the warm and friendly ambience. Start with great bread and olive oil flavored with mashed garlic for dipping. Appetizers include calamari, a terrific tomato bruschetta, mussels, fried ravioli and a cheese plate. There are several salads and soups for your next course. “From the oven”, spinach lasagna, ravioli and ziti make excellent entrees,
or go for one of the many pasta dishes: marinara, sausage, clams, papardelle with olives and sun dried tomatoes, gorgonzola, and pescatore. Chicken parmesan, marsala, piccata, and half chicken in spicy marinade, or go for the pork, veal, tuna with capanata, hazelnut crusted scallops, or eggplant parm. Your choice of sides is offered with all the entrees. Leave room for tiramisu, cannoli, cheesecake, and chocolate pate. The wine is very nice, and service shines. With reasonable prices and a bright patio for al fresco dining, Abrusci’s is a fun addition to the area. The original sister restaurant is located on Youngfield.
