Fruition brings all the wishes a diner has for a great evening in this neighborhood restaurant. Partner Paul Attardi runs the front of the house with incredible class and finesse while chef/owner Alex Seidel, along with sous chef Drew Inman, create sophisticated comfort food that is totally awesome. The décor is warm and casual with walls of wine and cream, great lighting, lovely art, wood floors and black accents on the furniture. Tables of alder wood with light wood accents in the chairs and banquettes and lovely white china set the scene. The extremely well trained and friendly staff is nattily dressed in wine colored shirts with light gold and white ties. Start with wonderful breads as you peruse the menu. Chicken soup like never before, seared tuna, and potato crusted oyster Rockefeller start the feast. Other appetizers that delight include braised rabbit Chasseur, beet carpaccio with a goat cheese fritter, pasta carbonara and a divine salad of watercress, grilled asparagus, red onion, grilled avocado and crispy shallots. Entrees of pork shoulder with gnocchi, duck breast with risotto, or lemon soul with lemon-truffle hollandaise are presented beautifully with combinations of flavors and texture that are tantalizing. Be enticed by smoked salmon with beet spaetzle, grilled Angus beef with potato gratin, veal cheeks in oyster mushroom stew or a vegetarian special. Decadent devils food cake, vanilla bean pudding, warm apple pie, and banana bread pudding bring desserts to a new level. An excellent and extremely well priced wine list complements the food. Small, charming, delightful, Fruition is a perfect eatery that pleases every true “Foodie”.
